Custom House and Home Additions
								In many cases your
house is already home-sweet-home, but a changing
or expanding family makes it necessary to add
more usable space to an existing structure.
Changes can come in many forms. For example:
redeveloping an existing space, or adding one.

								Often when adding,
going up, rather than adding to the footprint of
your house is the more economical approach. This
is due to the fact that there is minimal or no
foundation work required, and it generally
								requires less engineering.

								Project
								 This featured
project is a prime example of how house
additions can work. A beautiful location, three
bedroom bungalow, sound construction, with some
upgrades already done. A real estate market
making it cost prohibitive to upgrade to a
comparable life style with the space needed for
								the maturing family.
								This four
month project added 690 square feet, one master
bedroom with a massive ensuite, an office and a
2 piece 5th bathroom, all complete with a
beautiful quarter radius solid oak staircase and
hand rail. The house now boasts nicer curb
appeal and as an unexpected bonus the home
owners are enjoying a terrific view of the
mountains from their front balcony. |
